Gold Fundamental Review

Gold is simple, is goes up in value when paper goes down in value, the force which causes this fact is inflation.


Below we have USCPI YOY% change versus US 5 year interest rate, when the blue line is above the red interest rates are far too low and money is worth less as inflation is destroying it, even more so when the blue line is NOT CONTAINED and is rising (which is very good for gold).

Events change things. Trump policies (tax break, big spending) are events. The very simple fundamental fact is inflation is moving from Wall Street to Main Street, and you can expect main street money to start to move (velocity of M2 see chart below) around which will great more inflation.

Here is the same chart as above, but YOY% change. Breaking ZERO line very inflationary. Watch it!

Gold Gann Angle Update

Investors see this, higher support levels in metals and metal stocks, the big boys may be done with their tricks and a move up is near.


readtheticker.com has been watching the price move over the Gann angles with gold (GLD). Demand has proved it self so far, 2018 may see the red bearish 1x1 (down line) challenged near $140. Of course this does not mean another test of $125 is unlikely, the big boys are using all the tricks in the book to not allow the public to enjoy are profitable market up process.

Gann Angles mixed with cycles and Wyckoff is sound method to examine price action.

It will only take one domino to fall to great a ripple in the pond which may break very risky asset like: Junk bonds, passive investing, bond market and or US dollar.

Of course there is this spooky forecast from the cover of Economist 1998, the new world currency is due in 2018 (maybe or maybe not). Of course is that gold, IMF basket of currencies in a SDR,  block chain, or hash graph based currency. Who knows!

This is also interesting, introducing Marvin Goodfriend a huge fan of negative interest rates, the last time negative interest hit the front page (Nov to Jan 2016), gold and silver jumped higher. Mr Goodfriend is a Trump appointment to the FED. Of course the FED will be able to 'thread the needle' to reduce balance sheets and increase interest rates while stocks stay high! This is the big bet for 2018, please review what happened to stocks when the FED tried this in 1937.
